Support Victims

MADD is the largest direct victim services provider. Our advocates are available at anytime to serve anyone affected by drunk driving. Our services are free of cost and and are still available even years after a crash. Our services include information on death, injury and financial recovery, court accompaniment, listening and helping to make the journey from victim to survivor.

MADD Victim Support Groups MADD Minnesota offers monthly support groups covering a variety of topics. Please contact Carol at the state office if you need more information or would like to attend the support group meetings.

MEMORIALS AND CREATING MEANING OUT OF LOSS

MADD Minnesota would like to offer families and friends a variety of ways to honor their loved ones.  Below is a list of different programs that are available through MADD Minnesota.  Please feel free to contact the state office if you are interested in any of these memorial programs.

Visit the Como Park Bench
At the Spring Memorial in 2007 MADD Minnesota and several families dedicated a bench to those whose lives have been forever changed by drunk driving.  Feel free to visit the bench any time and leave a flower or sit and enjoy the beautiful view of Como Lake and the Como Lake Pavillion.   The bench is located on the north side of the lake in the Water Fowl Park area, there is parking available nearby.

Tree of Life Memorial
Engrave a leaf in honor of a loved one.   The tree is in the MADD State Office entryway.  We request a donation of $100.00 for each leaf engraved.

Victim/Survivor Vigils and Memorials  MADD Minnesota does a yearly vigil in honor of anyone who has been victimized by a drunk driver.  Watch the website for dates and planning information.

Become a MADD Volunteer  In time, when families, friends, and survivors are ready, they often choose to volunteer with MADD.  Helping other victims, answering phones, stuffing envelopes, and organizing events are just some of the ways MADD Minnesota can use your help.  No need to be a public speaker! If you are interested in volunteering please contact Carol Haselmann at the State Office.

Website Memorial  Share the story and a photo of your loved one on our website. (this memorial has been temporarily removed due to hackers)
